dschungelkind
A book that I read lately is "Dschungelkind" by Sabine Kuegler. Born in Nepal in 1972 she spent the first 17 years of her life in Indonesia (West-Papua) among a forgotten tribe of former cannibals with her parents who worked as linguists. A lot of us are fascinated by foreign cultures and I thought I would recommend this touching story. Returning to Europe in 1989 with 17 yo she was challenged to live in a new world she didn´t know anything about. About her experiences in this new world and reflections of childhood stories you can read in this book. It is written openheartedly.

My run-away cat is around again after 5 years. 2 years ago when I finally had given up on asking myself what had happened and if he was still alive he came around and showed up for a short time. Then he disappeared again at least for my eyes.
Now he ´s back .. when I look at him my heart aches... of course you can see that he´s a stray cat, his fur is scrubby and wears signs of battles and other injuries. When he was young he was totally black except of some very few white hairs on his chest. Sooo cute. Now the layers of the brown fur underneath determine the color and it is more brown than black.
I would like to talk to him. All I can do is feed him.. and I think his brother has recognized him he takes more time to sniff at the track his brother has left than he usually does.
The grey one on the photo is the one that stayed...
My sister gave me a photo back from 2002 where my son and the little black tomcat are asleep..aren´t they cute... my son is about 3 yo and the cat half a year...both lying on their back...

Enjoyed my riding lesson very much today. We learned how to accelerate and to slow down while trotting. After many years I had taken up lessons again in December. Today I felt a sort of unity in my body for the first time.... My hands and legs and body all did what they were supposed to do and this at the same time
This felt pretty good. Not that I could talk of control but it felt good and since the horses are so sensitive beings I think "my" horse felt good too.
